History

ASTRO FINGIDO has achieved the objectives it has set itself, creating thought shows for effective roaming, community involvement, training of new public and education through art, leading the THEATRE and TRAINING to places with less cultural offer and less technical conditions, but none the less public support.

2009 – theatre production for children “Sonhos e Miminhos” (Dreams and Hugs)
2010 – theatre production with de Lordelo community “O Português Voador” (The Flying Portuguese)
2011 – theatre and poetry production “O Grito dos Pavões” (The Scream of the peacocks)
2012 – physical theatre production “Um dia com ela” (One day with her)
2014 – community performance “A Torre dos Alcoforados” (The Moorish Tower)

Alongside the artistic activity, ASTRO FINGIDO has developed an educational service with performing DRAMATIC EXPRESSION, PAINTING, SCULPTURE, THEATRE OF SHADOWS and PHILOSOPHY WITH CHILDREN workshops, being a partner of the Porto City Council in CHILDREN OF PORTO program since 2012, counting in this academic year with workshops in 36 classes (Kindergarten and elementary school) of Porto schools.

In 2016, at the invitation of Lordelo parish council, ASTRO FINGIDO moves from Porto to Paredes, occupying the Elementary School of Parteira, now a SCHOOL OF ARTS. The protocol signed with the Town Hall of Paredes is aimed at developing activities in a locality where there wasn’t, so far, a structured cultural offer.
ASTRO FINGIDO then creates a project based on the creation of shows that go against the local socio-economic reality, seeking community participation, not to mention the provision of training to promote critical and creative thinking of the younger.
